Linda McCartney: Life Through A Lens
THIS month's Vogue iPad app features a very special
film shot by Glen Luchford to accompany his fashion story styled by
Jane How, "Life Through a Lens". The exclusive shoot was
inspired by the Seventies wardrobe of Linda McCartney, and includes
pieces from Linda's own archive - so nothing seemed more
appropriate than using a soundtrack by Paul McCartney. When
Vogue initially showed the shoot to him, the musician
reportedly nearly cried with nostalgia. Consequently, his song,
Maybe I'm Amazed, is the accompanying track.
"Watching the Linda film by Glen and Jane blew me away," said Stella
McCartney. "It was as if Mum had come alive in images I had
seen as a child. He has captured her free spirit and inner beauty,
but the fact that he met her I think shows the impression she left
on him.'' Download the Vogue iPad app now to see the full film, and remember, this month you'll enjoy a free copy of Miss Vogue with even more videos and animations for all the fashion world fun you've come to expect from Vogue.
