THE world's leaders came together this morning for Nelson Mandela's memorial service, five days after the former President of South Africa passed away. David Cameron, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were among the politicians that joined the mourners in Johannesburg's FNB Stadium, where people had been queuing overnight to secure a seat inside the 95,000-capacity arena.

Elsewhere Lady Gaga dressed as a Christmas tree, Chanel's branded cable cars in Courchevel and a special Christmas card from Claire Barrow got our weekly roundup off to a distinctively festive start.
