DSquared2's Chinese Triumph

DSQUARED2 has won the right to distribute its collections in China. A court in Hangzhou ruled that the Italian label was "legitimately allowed" to sell its designs in the region, although another company - Nuohe - had already trademarked the DSquared brand.

The company were originally denied the right to operate in China because Nuohe had registered the label, along with Dior Homme and Iceberg, three months before. The counterfeit company opened stores using the label's logo lettering, and copying products and even the layouts of the brand's boutiques. The decision means that Dsquared2 can go ahead with their expansion into China, WWD reports.
