One Step Ahead

IF you want to know the trends that will come to the fore in  spring/summer 2014 then look no further than the Hollywood red carpets.

Following a collection's debut on the catwalk, it is typically a brand's legion of celebrity followers who are next in line to road test the collection. Some are predictable - think Victoria Beckham in her eponymous line; Pixie Geldof taking her pick from friend Henry Holland's latest designs; or Blake

Lively, who fronts the Gucci Première fragrance campaign, wearing Gucci.

Others are simply staying one step ahead of their contemporaries - as the Emmys red carpet was testament to, where an array of fresh-from-the-catwalk dresses were chosen by Kate Mara, Kerry Washington and Allison Williams, to name a few.
