Isabella Blow Exhibition Launch Party

 Exhibition opening - November 19 2013

THE opening of Somerset House's exhibition celebrating the life of Isabella Blow was an unsurprisingly stylish affair.

Friends and family of the late fashion maverick arrived in a fleet of Jaguars at Claridge's for a dinner hosted by the Isabella Blow Foundation to toast the much-anticipated exhibit, which showcases Blow's extraordinary  wardrobe for the first time in public.

Daphne Guinness - who bought much of Isabella's clothing to prevent its sale at a Christie's auction - held court with Isabella's husband Detmar Blow and many of her close friends, including Philip Treacy, Stella Tennant and Rupert Everett.

Earlier that evening many of the guests had attended a first look at the retrospective, which opens its doors to the public today.

Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore! is open at Somerset House from today until March 2 2013.
